IDEALE KURSUSGANGER
Die kursus is ideaal vir geregistreerde sielkundiges, beraders en psigometriste vir voortdurende professionele ontwikkeling (VPO), aangesien die kursus vir 25 Voortgesette Onderrigeenhede (VOE’s) by die RGBSA geregistreer is.

Dr. Rina Steynberg
Dr. Rina Steynberg is ʼn dosent by Akademia in die Ekonomiese en Bestuurswetenskappe-fakulteit. Sy het ʼn doktorsgraad in Leierskap en Veranderingsbestuur en is ʼn geregistreerde bedryfsielkundige. Sy het meer as twintig jaar ondervinding as bestuurskonsultant waarin sy spesialiseer in strategie, kultuurwerk en leierskapontwikkeling asook as toesighoudende sielkundige vir intern sielkundiges en psigometriste optree. Dr. Steynberg doseer tans innovasiebestuur en organisatoriese bestuur en haar navorsingsfokus is leierskap, veranderingsbestuur en die neurowetenskap.
Ds. Cobus Swart
Ds. Cobus Swart het ʼn MA-graad in Godsdiens- en Bybelwetenskap verwerf en het vir die afgelope sestien jaar as leraar gewerk, eers voltyds en nou deeltyds. Sy diepgaande belangstelling in hermeneutiek, wat handel oor hoe mense sin maak van die wêreld, het hom betrokke gemaak by verskeie beradingsgeleenthede, veral met leiers. Hierdie belangstelling het hom aangespoor om ook ʼn BCom-graad in Bedryfsielkunde te voltooi, om ʼn dieper begrip van sielkunde in die besigheidswêreld te ontwikkel. Ds. Swart se studie- en werksondervinding stel hom in staat om ewe gemaklik te funksioneer binne beide die teologiese en besigheidsomgewing.

Self-development and coaching – The Hero’s Journey
The course provides a framework through which course participants can discover and develop their life purpose and talents through self-discovery, reflective exercises, and practical strategies or by guiding others through the process. It identifies limiting beliefs that may hinder the realisation of life purpose and explores strategies to overcome these obstacles. The course offers insights into how to utilise unique talents and abilities to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Course content
- A deeper understanding of life purpose and techniques to explore it
- Understanding and techniques to comprehend talents within the context of life purpose
- Self-insight into thought patterns and beliefs that can either hinder or support potential
- Strategies to shape thought patterns and beliefs to support the life purpose
- Project: Development of a life plan to implement decisions
Ideal course participant
The course is ideal for registered psychologists, psychometrists and counsellors for continuous professional development (CPD) as the course is registered at the HPCSA for 25 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).

Dr. Rina Steynberg
Dr Rina Steynberg is a lecturer at Akademia in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. She holds a doctoral degree in Leadership and Change Management and is a registered industrial psychologist. With over twenty years of experience as a management consultant, she specialises in strategy, cultural work, and leadership development, also serving as a supervisory psychologist for internal psychologists and psychometrists. Dr Steynberg currently teaches innovation management and organisational management, with her research focus on leadership, change management, and neuroscience.
Rev. Cobus Swart
Rev. Cobus Swart holds an MA degree in Religious Studies and Biblical Science and has been a reverend for the past sixteen years, initially full-time and now part-time. His keen interest in hermeneutics – how humans make sense of the world – has led him to engage in various counselling opportunities, particularly with leaders. This interest also motivated him to study towards a BCom in Industrial Psychology to better understand psychology in business contexts. Rev. Swarts’ studies and experience equip him to function equally well in both the theological and business worlds.
